DO OR DO NOT, THERE IS NO TRY.

Weekend

I'm extremely happy that it's Friday.
I'm trying to decide what to do tonight. Its very rare that I have a weekend night off of work, but I do tonight. I want to do something that is different than what I do every weekend but, living in Pike County, makes that kind of hard.

OPEN BARN

I'm very excited to be working on softball during the off season.
I have set some goals for myself that are going to be hard to reach but working now, six months before season will really help me accomplish those goals.
Basically open barn is just about getting better. Its also a way for the incoming freshmen to get to know what high school softball is all about. I can't wait till season actually starts!

MacBeth

I really enjoyed watching the play on Friday. It was something that some of us would never get the oportunity to see again. I am very glad that we talked about it before watching, it made it easier to follow. I think it would've been kind of hard to understand had we not talked about it. All the actors did a wonderful job and I had a very good time. I'm glad we got to tour the building afterwward too. It was very interesting to see.

Video..

When I was trying to decide what video to add to my blog I knew that this one was a good choice. Everyone has that song that makes them think about that person that makes them smile, this is mine. Being happy is an important thing so this was the best video for me to add.

Peer Facilitating..

I am in a group at school call Peer Facilitators (PF). In PF we meet with sixth graders, about once a month. Sixth grade is a tough time for some kids so we're there for them through their struggles. We help them with their transitioning from elementary school to middle school, which some of them find a very scary thing. We're also there for them if they have any other problems, whether it be minor or serious. More kids than you think need some extra attention, so most of all we're there to just be a friend to the students. I like the fact that the younger kids can look up to be and that i know i can set a good example for them.

Yesterday the Peer Facilitators took a trip to Camp Carson. It was so much fun. We did a lot of team building activities, that helped us learn how to work together and listen to one another's ideas. We also did a lot of activities that would have been hard to complete without the support of our classmates. I think that the trip was really good for us and helped us become better leaders.

Volleyball Team...

After two weeks of game after game and practice after practice, the PCHS volleyball team had a pretty good week.
We've won our tournaments the last two Saturdays in a row, receiving trophies and metals for our accomplishments.
We love the fact that turning the volleyball program around is up to us.
We currently have a winning record, and we're still pushing hard to keep the wins coming.
We're working hard to overcome the doubts and negativity our school gets for athletics.
